The Westminster racket

The following quotation comes from an article by Nigel Farage. Whatever one's views about the UKIP agenda the comments below can stand alone as a reminder that UK politics, apart from the old joke about being showbiz for ugly people, can act as a refuge when one lacks the talent to do pretty much anything else.
There are 61 members of the Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet today. Only 11 of them have any experience of working for in the private sector. Mostly for less than five years. Over 24 have never had a proper job at all and a further 20 have worked for political lobbyists or campaign groups.
