Don’t just do something - stand there.

The following takes a little liberty with an entry in Wikipedia
The politician's syllogism, is a (falsely) logical argument of the form:

  • We must do something
  • This is something
  • Therefore, we must do this.

  • Here is a quote that embodies the politician’s fallacy:
