Skin in the game - not according to Mr. Brown

Writing for an article in the Observer for Sunday February 22nd, 2009, the British prime minister has made a shocking proposal to boost his credentials for financial prudence. He has proposed that in the future no mortgages should be granted in the UK for more than 100% of the property value.
Whatever happened to the notion that in all deals one should have some skin in the game?
